StableTalk was created in December 2007, primarily to bring together people who shared a common interest in the Thoroughbred & Harness Racing Industry. As the year progressed and membership grew, we saw a need to offer more than just a place to share news, views & discussion and so began our Weekly Competitions, Punters Club and other interactive activities.
We have also had members take part in on course Punters Clubs. Some of these members meeting for the very first time and forming friendships that continue both on site and off.
We run a well structured, honest Punters Club via the site, with many members choosing to leave their returns in the club account to use for various on site Competitions.
StableTalk has several members who are involved in either the ownership, breeding and/or training of Racehorses. We share their highs and their lows and the excitement of following our fellow member's horses is just awesome. Ok, so it doesn't do the odds any favours come race day but I know for myself as a part owner, knowing that every time your horse races the whole site is behind you, cheering with you, experiencing it with you and that you are providing not only a thrill for yourself, but every single one of them, is a really great feeling. Many glasses are raised for the successes. Many tears are shed for the sad times. You can't beat the experience of a group of people standing beside you, sharing it all.
The ultimate goal and purpose for establishing StableTalk was so that people had a place to go to where they can have fun. Where they can share their thoughts and learn from others. A place where they can brag about their tipping skills (or lack of!). Where they can ask questions and not be afraid to do so. Where they can meet strangers and leave firm friends. And we are really proud that we can say StableTalk has succeeded in reaching that goal and that every single member can be proud of their part in ensuring StableTalk is, and will continue to be Your Premier New Zealand Racing Forum
